Clinical Director

Nicole Conte, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA is the Clinical Director at Level Up Applied Behavior Analysis Services. A Board Certified (BACB) and New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), Nicole has extensive experience in clinical leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice across educational, clinical, and research settings.

Nicole earned her Master’s of Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati and holds a Bachelor of Music Education with a minor in Disability Studies from The Ohio State University. Nicole began her career in ABA at the Institute of Autism Research, where she fell in love with serving students with autism and complex behavioral challenges. Her work includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and monitoring behavior intervention plans, leading parent training, supervising BCBA candidates, and ensuring treatment fidelity and ethical compliance across service settings.

In addition to her clinical leadership, Nicole is actively engaged in research and professional dissemination. She has presented at both the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis (NYSABA) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) conferences on topics related to reducing dangerous / severe behavior and improving quality of care in clinical and classroom settings. She has also contributed to peer-reviewed publications focused on improving informed consent and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Nicole currently participates in advanced clinical psychology observations at Oishei Children’s Hospital and serves as a research assistant, contributing to early detection and diagnostic research in autism. These experiences further strengthen her commitment to interdisciplinary, developmentally informed, and data-driven care. As Clinical Director, Nicole is passionate about mentoring clinicians, strengthening quality of care, and advancing clinical excellence through thoughtful leadership, ongoing training, collaboration and research informed practice.
