Job Opportunity: Full-Time School-Based Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Are you passionate about supporting students with autism and other developmental disabilities in an educational setting? We are seeking a dedicated full-time Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work in a school-based environment. Job Responsibilities

As a school-based Behavior Technician, you will:

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Support classroom teachers and staff in managing student behaviors to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Provide direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy focusing on skill acquisition, communication, social skills, and behavior reduction.
  • Collect and document accurate data on student progress and behaviors throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, and school staff to ensure consistent implementation of ABA programs.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to review student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards, including those established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (preferred, but not required—training can be provided).
  • Experience working with children, especially in a school or educational setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor with a commitment to supporting students' success.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite at assigned schools.
