Job Responsibilities
As an in-home Behavior Technician, you will:
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in their homes, focusing on skill acquisition, communication, social interaction, and behavior reduction.
- Collect accurate data on client progress and behaviors during each session.
- Follow and implement behavior intervention plans and ABA strategies with consistency and fidelity.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers, offering support and feedback to promote skill generalization.
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision sessions to maintain quality service delivery.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the BACB (if RBT certified).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (preferred, but not required—training can be provided).
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor with clients and families.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes.
